Erik C Records—Investment Banker

Erik has been in the buyout industry for over 15 years. He was a co-founder of Myers Capital Partners, Principal at Buttonwood Capital Group and Director at W.E. Myers & Company. He has led build-ups and closed transactions in the chemical distribution, contract guard, contract manufacturing, janitorial services, printed circuit board, roller bearing, sealants & coatings and rubber & plastic molding industries. He holds a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Finance from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Michael Sims

Michael Sims—Banking & Education Executive

Michael has been the Executive Officer of the Graziadio School of business and Management at Pepperdine University since 2001. During that time he has been responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, MBA recruitment, alumni relations, career support services, advancement, the Board of Visitors, Dean's Executive Leadership Series, the Los Angeles Economic Forecast, Senior Fellows in Entrepreneurship, the 15X Project partnership with UCSB and has been integral in the creation of a venture capital fund—New Wave Accelerator. Prior to Pepperdine, he was the Senior Vice President in charge of marketing for Imperial Bank, an $8 billion asset commercial bank that merged with Comerica in 2000. Previous to Imperial Bank, he was the chief executive for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, including leading the campaign to rebuild the Hollywood sign, and the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, the Beverly Hills Visitors Bureau and the Rodeo Drive Merchants Association. He co-founded and co-owns, with his wife, Siena Publishing Inc., a boutique publishing and sales company since 1992.

Jeff Klein

Jeffrey S. Klein—Media Expert & Executive

Jeffrey is a seasoned and highly regarded media executive and respected lecturer. Trained as both a lawyer and a journalist, he has more than 20 years of experience operating newspaper, television, magazine and internet businesses. Jeffrey spent 15 years with the Los Angeles Times and Times Mirror in senior management positions, including Senior Vice President and General Manager, News and Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing. He was president and CEO of 101communications, a market leading B2B publisher serving the Information Technology segment. In April 2006, 101 was sold to 1105 Media, a multimedia publishing and trade show company where Klein is currently Chairman of the Board. Klein received his master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, his law degree from Stanford University, and his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Claremont McKenna College.

Roger Stallard—Media Sales Executive

Roger is an industry leader in media sales and operations. He has successfully led media sales divisions ranging in size from 3 to over 200 employees and has helped to significantly increase revenue in both radio and television at the senior level in several organizations. Roger has held positions of Senior Vice President of Sales for various divisions of Cablevision’s Rainbow Media, Regional Vice President for Adelphia Communications’ Media Services division, Board Member of Adlink and, most recently, Senior Vice President of FamilyNet Television. Roger is a graduate of The University of Central Florida.

Luis Miranda

Luis Miranda—International Business & Real Estate Advisor

Luis has over 15 years experience in all aspects of real estate development, marketing and sales. He is currently President & CEO of Boomers Abroad Online Community & Social Network. Luis has coordinated activities in several resort style real estate developments from site selection and feasibility studies to acquisition, entitlement, building design, construction, marketing, sales, and finally to occupancy. Luis has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Mexico and also a Master’s of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
